At the edge of Banff (or at least the part we came to know as Banff) is a lazy river along which they have a really neat art walk. It’s a seemingly endless stream of art installations built placed in nature along a picturesque backdrop. First, the nature:

Natural Life Around Banff

The pathway along the river continued far longer we had time to explore so if you’re looking for an easy full day jaunt, look no farther.

The Art Walk

I’m going to guess that we walked up and back maybe 2 or 3 miles along the river checking out this art. I took pictures of my favorites and rather than going bananas also photographing every plaque – you can look up information on any of these works here. This is just a very small sampling of what was out there.

The Waterfall

After doing Iceland last year it’s hard to be impressed by any waterfall ever again. However, sometimes it’s about the journey not the destination or whatever.
