When we travel, I usually take loads of photos because we’re seeing all sorts of unique things that we’ll likely never see again; be they natural, cultural, or something else-eral. This year, on our trip to Le Blanc in Cabo, I only snapped a few shots because when you’re at an all-inclusive resort you just want to relax and be brought drinks with tiny umbrellas.
Full disclosure, none of our drinks had actual umbrellas in them… but you could tell the drinks wanted to have umbrellas. And it’s really the thought that counts.
In rapid fire, here are some takeaways:
- The food was amazing, book dinners ahead of time.
- Do the included hydro spa, DAILY (it’s a mix of sauna, steam, massage, goops, and hippie shots like chlorophyll water because of course that’s a thing). It was unbelievably relaxing.
- Don’t bus your own dishes, it makes the natives restless.
- Having a butler is extremely weird but nice.
- Know how many things you have to say before deciding how long your list will be.
We ate so much amazing food I wish I had taken more pictures of that, but I really didn’t want to be like “cell-phone-girl”, a 20-something who we’re pretty sure was on her honeymoon and NO JOKE did not look up from her phone once. We assume she had a human face but only ever saw the top of her head so who can say for sure?
And yes, there’s a picture of a tiny chocolate piñata filled with sprinkles that they left in the room for my birthday. I did whack it with the tiny chocolate bat it came with. No it did not go well.
Oh! And paddle board yoga is harder than you think although neither of us fell off our board. The woman next to us did and it was awesome. We still have a text chain going with the other, better-balanced guests just to keep the laughs going. The reunion is in June.
And lastly, we spent the night before in San Diego and saw the Ghostbusters in Little Italy, virtually assuring our trip had peaked before we even left but we decided to go anyway. Such resolve. 💪

Byeeeeeee.
