For Sarah’s 40th birthday we popped down to San Diego for a few nights to get out of the heat and into charcuterie. We did some hiking and a lot of eating. I’m still doing the math on whether the latter offsets the former but judging by my math on this greasy napkin… I’m not optimistic.
The trip was really only one full day, which is why it looks like I wore the same shirt all weekend… I swear.
For those curious:
- Charcuterie and Wine: Portside Pier, Little Italy
- Boar Rental: Eco Boat Rentals (very dog friendly!)
- Hike: Juan Cabrillio National Monument
- Coffee: Frost Me, Little Italy (get up early and order a morning bun)
- The photo of Sarah in the giant chair was taken at her alma mater, on the USD campus
The night before this quick jaunt we threw a little surprise party for her at our house but I neglected to get any good photos of that. So here’s a picture of Sarah blowing out her cake while I do my best to look twice my age followed by a screenshot from my Ring camera that looks like the beginning of Paranormal Activity 👻
