We spent our last day checking out Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Truth be told, this stopover was really just our way of getting near the airport for a 6 AM Friday arrival (sorry, Zagreb, nothing personal). But as it turned out, we were pleasantly surprised. Zagreb is a really beautiful city. The buildings are a wide variety of colors and styles, there’s well manicured flowers EVERYWHERE, there’s almost no litter, and even some of the graffiti is quite nice.

We didn’t really have an agenda, so we just spent the day wandering through the many gardens, parks, and of course stopped to check out the Zagreb Cathedral. I’d love to give you some facts about it, but neither Sarah nor I was blessed with much of an attention span. We gave it a look and moved on. It’s big. Really big. You’re all caught up.

Before I get to the photos I want to give a shout out to our Airbnb host, Dario. He’s super nice and his place is wonderful. If you’re in the area and need a place to stay, check out his listing. (No commission here, I just dig the place and he’s a good dude)
