We took the ferry over to one of the nearby islands on our last day, walked around a bunch and did some kayaking. The ferry holds 200 cars and something like a thousand people. Apparently most of the islanders commute to work each day on the ferry to Seattle, their much more serene version of sitting in LA traffic. We also finally peeked in the fancy Starbucks where they brew their “reserve blend”, their fancy new scam for the coffee guzzling world. They’re reserving it for suckers, I think.

Tomorrow we go back to reality. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. I wish I had the forethought to snap a photo from the airport for the final day, just to bookend this nicely against the opening post. Alas I wasn’t at my most lucid this AM, so this is where I leave you.

Thanks for following along 😀
